What to Expect at Light of the World

First Time Visitors

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit.

Don’t know much about the Bible?

That's ok!  You won't be put on the spot and this is a place to learn more about Jesus. We assure you, we won’t embarrass you in any way. We want you to feel comfortable and at home with us. Church should be an enjoyable and uplifting experience. We promise to do all that we can so that you can learn about your Savior and God’s will for your life.

Can my children come?

Definitely! Worshiping and studying God's Word is a family event. If your child is loud during the service, that's ok. Our fellowship area provides a space for your child where you can still hear the service. Everyone is welcome at Light of the World.

Don’t know what to wear or bring?

We are a come-as-you-are kind of crowd. People attend wearing a shirt and tie to shorts and sandals and everything in between. Wear what’s comfortable for you! Bring yourself, your family and whoever else you can get to come with you. We'll provide the rest: worship folders, Bibles, class materials, even goodies after the service!

Don’t know what to expect in our service?

Our worship at Light of the World would be categorized as "liturgical." We have a set order for our services that we use every week. Each service is unique as to its theme, readings, and sermon, with certain elements of our worship that are there every week. We focus on readings from the Bible and respond in music and prayer to what God has said, praising Him and giving thanks to Him for His great love.

We’d love to meet outside of Sunday mornings!

We offer many opportunities for all ages and backgrounds to grow in faith and study God's wonderful plan of salvation which is found in his Word. Check out one of our Bible studies or fellowship events, or reach out through our contact form and we can set up a time to meet!
